You have to hit menu if you want to jump out of the "track play". You could also put one Marker right after the first marker in your track, you of course need at least 15 frames of slug to do this. Tell the first marker to end jump to your menu, then in the button in the menu tell it to go to marker 2. Basically what you did. :) Yep that is how DVDSP works.
